SHC TV GI LAB RENOVATION — PLEASANTON, CA
Stanford Health Care – Tri-Valley is renovating approximately 1,432 square feet of its existing GI Lab located on the first floor of the main hospital building at 5555 W. Las Positas Blvd in Pleasanton, CA. The scope includes the expansion of the GI Procedure Room and the relocation of the Anesthesia Workroom, Soiled Linen Collection Room, Scope Processing, Clean Scope Storage, and OR Storage. Work involves architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and low-voltage upgrades to bring the facility into code compliance and improve clinical workflows. The project is governed by OSHPD-1 regulations and maintains the building’s original Type I-A classification and I-2 hospital occupancy.
The project will follow California’s 2022 Building Standards Code (Title 24) and applicable NFPA requirements. Deferred submittals include fire alarm and sprinkler drawings, seismic bracing for overhead MEP systems, and electrical coordination studies—all subject to AHJ approval. Taylor Design serves as the architect of record, with Degenkolb Engineers and Gayner Engineers providing structural and MEP services, respectively, and Exante360 supporting low-voltage design.
