Avanza 490 is the ground-up construction of a seven-story, 80,624 SF, Type I mixed-use affordable housing development delivering 81 residential units. The project includes a reinforced concrete structural system with a mat foundation, post-tensioned slabs, comprehensive MEPFP infrastructure, rooftop photovoltaic systems, community spaces, and a rooftop terrace. Located two blocks from the 16th Street Mission BART Station, construction required complex urban logistics, utility coordination, and phased sequencing. The development achieved GreenPoint Rated certification.
